Originally constructed of limestone with cast aluminum and carved limestone details in the Moderne style. In 1965, Modern two-story additions and porticos were added to the east and west facades.
Modifications
The covered entrances and two-story wing additions were designed by local Conroe architect John Corley in 1966. In 1980 more alterations were as designed by the Houston firm of Page Sutherland Page.
1979: Second floor added to the non-original wings.1998: Plans are underway for removing the solar screens.
